What the service involves
Shot blasting projects abrasive against the part to clean the surface and give it a uniform texture. It removes rust, mill scale and other process residues that would otherwise be trapped under any subsequent layer.
What it solves is coating durability. Paint applied to a dirty or overly smooth surface eventually lifts; on a blasted surface, the layer keys in and lasts. That is why blasting is the standard step before painting or coating.
It is also used as a finish in its own right when a uniform matt appearance is wanted across the whole part.

Do you paint the parts after blasting?
Blasting is the preparation step we do in-house. If your project needs paint or a specific coating, mention it in your enquiry and we will confirm how it is handled within the overall job.
What surface preparation grade do you reach?
If your project requires a standardised preparation grade, mark it on the drawing and we will confirm feasibility.
Can stainless steel be blasted?
Treating stainless requires specific precautions so its surface is not compromised. Ask us about the specific part and we will advise the most suitable treatment.
Which file formats do you accept?
We accept PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP/STP, STL, IGS/IGES and also PNG or JPG images. If you do not have a final drawing yet, send us a dimensioned sketch and we will review it all the same.
Do you make one-off parts or only production runs?
We handle one-off parts and prototypes as well as small, medium and large batches and repeat production. You can specify this in the quote request.
How quickly do you reply to an enquiry?
We send a technical response in under 48 hours from receiving the drawing and the part details.
Can several processes be combined on the same part?
Yes — that is the normal way we work. A part can go through laser cutting, bending, welding and finishing inside the same plant, under a single order and a single point of contact.
